Description
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individuals to provide dining and table service to our senior residents. Come join our unique restaurant-like atmosphere with better hours than your typical food service job. This position is paid an hourly wage rather than tips. Our servers and staff are personable and friendly individuals who have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Must be comfortable speaking with residents about menu items and ensuring they understand the options available. Keep in mind that this position will require working in shifts and during weekends and holidays.
Hourly pay $12.25 - $14.00 dependent upon role and previous experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in all areas of meal preparation, serving, and cleanup
- Maintain the flow of service from the kitchen to the dining room to ensure all residents receive their preferences in both food and beverages timely
- Keep the dining room clean and service ready at all times
- Set up tables and beverage station
- Deliver meals to resident rooms as needed
- Collect and wash dishes and utensils from tables and store properly
- Provide necessary assistance to the Dining Services Manager
- Follow all relevant health department regulations
- Provide excellent customer service to residents

Understands and implements the Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Plan and evacuation procedures of the community during drills and actual emergencies.

Education:

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has general knowledge of all make-ready tasks including drywall repair, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, carpentry, tile work, installation of lighting and plumbing fixtures, appliance installation and troubleshooting. All needed tools and supplies are provided by the company. The Make Ready Technician is a member of the Maintenance Team and will be required to participate in on-call rotation. Wednesday - Sunday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing

University Village is a vibrant senior community that provides services to more than 300 residents. The facility plumber will locate and fix leaks, blockages, and other damage to water and HVAC systems. They may also be responsible for the initial installation of such features. Additionally, this role is responsible for maintaining adequate stock of repair parts. The Plumbing Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines and maintaining the highest customer service standards for our residents. The goal is to maintain all systems in the best possible condition.
This position works Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm, and participates in the on-call rotation.
Hourly Rate: $21 - $27 commensurate upon experience
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Extensive experience in plumbing
- Must have knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, tools, and equipment for plumbing
- 5+ Years of experience in the repair, maintenance, and operations of all phases of building / facilities equipment
- Plumbing Journeyman, preferred not required
- Must have knowledge in basic remodeling techniques
