The University Village Resident Advisory Committee is comprised of residents from our Independent Living and Assisted Living areas. They meet monthly with Administration to voice the concerns of our residents. Concerns are heard and suggestions are discussed. It is a very productive way that residents can participate in our continual improvement process for the programs and services we provide.
This week we held elections for the committee. Here you can meet the candidates:
Bill Ball – A graduate of TU and veteran of the USAF, Bill has operated manufacturing companies in OK and TX. He and wife, Patty have been UV cottage residents for two years and enjoy the people and activities.
Jim Martin – Jim spent most of his life as a self-employed farmer in IL, then worked for the American Red Cross managing blood drives as a mobile technician. He enjoys the folks at UV and wants to help in any way.
Ron Patterson – Raised in Tulsa with a Industrial Psychology, degree from TU, Ron is better known as our “garden angel” for UV’s community garden. Other accomplishments include personnel, and a landscaping business.
Hildegard Bartlau – After working for 25 years in the ORU Library, Hildegard found a new home at UV in June 2012. She would enjoy serving residents as an RAC Member.
Ken Meyer – Ken is an Army and Navy veteran. Before moving to UV in 2012, he was a Tulsa home builder and attended Asbury UMC. Ken loves living in our community and would be honored to serve as an RAC member.
Billie Reeder – This retired TPS teacher moved to UV two years ago. She served on the RAC committee for one year, and would like the opportunity to contribute again in the 2015-16 year.
Linda Hughes – Since 1970, Linda has worked at St. Francis Hospital. Prior to that she worked with Oral Roberts Evangelistic Assoc. and TPS. She is a leader in the Lyons Club Intl and hopes to contribute to UV.
Ed Parham – Born in OKC and OU alum, Ed worked for the state examiner and inspector as an auditor for 8 years. He also was in retail sales for more than a decade. He would be happy to help the UV committee.
Irene Taylor – The former book keeper has enjoyed living at UV since 2011. She is anxious to “give back” to the community by serving the people who live here.
