Team UV,
The National Weather Service has issued updated information confirming what is expected to be a significant winter weather event. Snowfall is anticipated to begin Friday evening and continue through Sunday morning, with wind chill values falling as low as -15. Snowfall amounts may make travel difficult.
University Village is committed to ensuring you are taken care of as you continue to care for our residents. We understand that weather events like this can be stressful, and we want you to know how much we appreciate your dedication, flexibility, and commitment to our residents during this time.
Please review the following important information and expectations:
- Overnight Accommodations: Staff may bring pillows, toiletries, and a change of clothes should you need to stay overnight. We will ensure space is available. Please report to PBX if you need to stay.
- Building Access: Beginning Saturday, please use the front entrance when possible, as extreme weather may impact the sliding doors at the employee entrance. If you use the employee entrance, use ONLY the cleared pathways with snow mats to ensure safe entry and exit.
- Transportation Needs: If you require transportation, please contact PBX for assistance.
- Meals & Snacks: Meals and snacks will be provided for all staff working and staying onsite, including overnight team members. Meals will be left in the Theater Kitchen and snacks will be available in the central (Bistro) break room.
- Driving Safety: If you are driving, please ensure you have an emergency kit, a blanket, and a fully charged phone. Take your time and prioritize safety.
- Staffing Coverage: Please remain on-site until your replacement arrives or adequate staffing levels are confirmed. If you are willing to work additional hours, thank you in advance. This will truly be an all-hands-on-deck effort.
- PBX WILL SERVE AS CENTRAL POINT OF CONTACT for all needs and coordination: 918-299-2661
They will be in contact with Leadership, Maintenance, and on-call staff as the weekend progresses.
Thank you for everything you do: your professionalism, compassion, and dedication do not go unnoticed. Please take care of yourselves and one another as we navigate this storm together!
