Thank A Mailman Day

February 4, 2016

Way, way back in 503 BC., Greek historian Herodotus proclaimed, “Neither snow, nor rain, nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.” Today, that’s the motto of USPS, your post office! February 4 is your day to say “thank you” to the guy or gal who delivers your mail six days a week.
We would also like to take this day to express a big “thank you” to resident volunteer, RICHARD COUCH who for the past couple years has sorted, stacked and distributed hundreds (maybe MILLIONS) of pieces of mail in the University Village “post office” for residents and staff. And like any reliable mailman, he has been faithful to his job to help us correspond with letters and parcels no matter what the weather. We salute you, Richard, for carrying the mail without fail!
