Staff,
I know that this is a confusing time for many and information is changing very rapidly from day to day.
To clarify a few points: As of today, March 26th, Tulsa is not currently under a shelter-in-place order, nor has a statewide shelter-in-place been enacted for Oklahoma. This is a point of confusion for many based on the reports of some media outlets following the most recent updates to Executive Orders.
A “Safer at Home” order is included within the most recent Executive Order. Please see the excerpt below. The state is yet to provide a more comprehensive definition of “vulnerable individuals” outside of the age restriction. University Village falls under the category of a critical infrastructure sector so our employees are exempt for the purposes of travel to and from work.
A form letter, confirming employment, is available for any individual who believes they may fall into one of the listed categories. Please stop by Human Resources, or the front desk, for a copy of this document. Additionally, copies of the most recent Executive Order Amendment for 2020-01 and 2020-07 are available in Human Resources. Please do not hesitate to reach out should you have any questions.
Thanks,
Wynter Hill-Ferrell
