Vida Marie Smith was born in Elmer, Oklahoma on August 3, 1912, as the seventh child of ten siblings. Her family consisted of her father, mother, nine sisters, one brother, and a big farm. She is the last living member of her amazing family.
Vida Marie Smith was married to the love of her life William Holmberg for 44 years and to this union, they were blessed with a son named William (Bill). Their wonderful family resided in Anadarko, OK for over 40 years. During this time Vida Marie operated her own beauty shop for five years. Then she became a State Inspector for the Board of Cosmetology for 17 years. She is also blessed with granddaughter Cheryl and grandson Kirk.
Vida Marie and her family were proud members of Eastside Christian Church for over 30 years in Tulsa, OK. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and gardening, but her favorite pastime was cooking! Her family called her the “Gourmet Chef”. She also loves jewelry and fashion. She has enjoyed living at University Village since 2013. She exercises and walks every day to stay active. Vida Marie turns 104 years old this August making her UV’s most senior “Super Senior.”
