A HUGE THANKS to all who attended Mission Meeting. It was great to gather as a community and spend some time on these important topics.

This month we featured one of the most damaging and destructive human behaviors, gossiping. The truth is, we have all participated in gossip in some way. This is a judgment-free zone where we are committed to self-reflection and self-improvement, so we ask ourselves: Why do people do it? How do we recognize when we are doing it? And how do we stop ourselves, or others, from doing it?

Check out the slides in the presentation along with the videos below. As always, reach out, and let’s connect if you want to stop by and visit more about the “why”  or if you want to talk through ideas to stop this behavior in your own peer group.

We are committed to ensuring the entire staff has complete and accurate information, and as an effort to ensure this, along with organizational growth, we are launching an Employee Resource Group (ERG). I am so excited to announce the members of our ERG and look forward to the important work they have volunteered to take on in the coming year. Please know that these individuals are here as a resource if you have questions or ideas on how we can improve our community, culture, processes, or anything else! All ideas are welcome and encouraged because we believe that this is how we grow and best serve each and every one of you, for whom we are so thankful!

CMS has rolled out a new Phase 3 requirement to ensure all facilities have an effective compliance and ethics program that uses internal controls to more effectively monitor adherence to applicable statutes, regulations, and program requirements to deter criminal, civil, and administrative violations and promote quality of care. More information can be found in the slide deck along with the link below:

Lastly, we took some time to recognize our friends and colleagues:

Mickey Black for her 5 years of service

Doug Allen for his 10 years of service

Our entire Nursing Staff! We will be celebrating Nurses Week by hosting a cook-out for ALL employees on Friday, May 12th beginning at 10 am and ending at 1 pm in our Courtyard.
