Changes to PTO

Greetings Team UV!

We have some exciting changes to share with you for 2021. Who would have ever imagined what 2020 would bring!? As we move into 2021 we thought it was a good time to make changes to our paid time off (PTO) policies for all hourly employees.

At the start of the year, you will be awarded up to 40 hours of UNSCHEDULED time off. The purpose of this is to provide peace of mind, at the start of the year, in the event that you or a family member fall ill. Should you have UNSCEHDUELD hours remaining at the very end of the year, you will be eligible to receive a payout for those hours on your first paycheck of 2022! This is sure to be a big help with December bills. New employees will receive a pro-rated amount based on date of hire. See the award amounts below.

In lieu of a per paycheck accrual, time will be awarded based on the number of hours worked, maxing at 136 hours for the year. This will allow those of you who work part-time to accrue based on actual hours worked as opposed to the previously utilized scale based on anticipated hours.

To be clear, there is no change to the total amount available to be awarded (max of 176) for full-time employees. There is also no change to the eligibility to utilize PTO for new employees (1st of the month after 60 days of service). You may see some discrepancies in your accruals or even changes to listed amounts as Paycom makes updates to the system but please know everything will be accurate as of the next payroll run.
